no, they come in a ton of colors. The stores around you must be out of the pink ones right now. My friend has to get pink ones all the time for her girls tank, the things keep dying, cause her daughter thinks its a mermaid.

Beta fish are the most boring fish in the world. This is not uncommon, but there are more common colours. People usually buy the pinks ones right away because they're Pink. That's why you never really see them.

not as common as the rest of the colors. If he is pure pink he may be an albino as most albino fish retain pinks and reds. I have seen pinkish beta from time to time but they usually have a bit of color somewhere. Sounds like you may have a semi -rare one.

lol, thats kind of random. Anyway, i don't think so. I mean, does it really matter though. But, since I'm trying to answer your question, no, i have never seen a pink beta. I really wanted one though. I have a blue one. I used to have a pearly white one w/ a little streak of blue and a little streak of pink. Don't worry, if anything, my fish was weirder than a pink one.

Pink is rare, and rarely seen in pet store bettas. It's not uncommon among hobbyist breeders.

I am not sure about how rare they are..I have never heard of a pink one. But, if you are looking for a friend for your Betta, don't they will kill each other, and a female..the male will rip her to pieces

Bettas come in a large variety of colors.
Please tell me you aren't keeping him in a small bowl? He's in a filtered tank with room to swim around, right? And you cycled this tank? And he has hiding places?

It's not uncommon. It has to do with the amount of nutrients it has . Fish's scales pigment are mostly derived from what they eat.
