Nope not really. Curiosity and hormones gets the best of MOST people.

The people that remain virgins until an older age are either not able to get laid or are terrified by their parents and the church into thinking sex is bad and is a one way ticket to hell.

I did. I was 29 and proud to have stayed a virgin til my wedding night! I mean, lol, it wasn't like i hadn't had offers or opportunities either.... I'm not some ugly girl or anything. But I really do believe in what the Bible says about keeping God's commandments and look at all of the things I protected myself from by waiting-- possible STDs, possible unwanted pregnancy ( cies?) and all the emotional baggage that can come from leading a sexually promiscuous lifestyle. I am SO happy that I waited and that my husband is my first and only sex partner!! I have friends who didn't wait and they have had all kinnnnnnnnnnnds of problems. 1 friend alone went thru 7 boy friends, 4 stds, 3 abortions, 2 babies and I can't tell you how much grief just because she let her hormones get the better of her. She started YOUNG too, 15. I saw the road she was headed down and I knew in school I wanted NO part of that! I stuck to my guns spiritually and I am thankful everyday that I did.It is so worth it. Don't knock someone who does it, they are the smart ones. You may think we are old fashioned and silly, Bible thumpers and all of that, but honey, We got it ALL OVER the ones out there that 'start early' and have a hundred heartaches before they're 20.

Of course! This might sound a little lame but marriage will only be meaningfully pure if you bother to wait. Sometimes, being conventional and traditional is necessary but of course, you gotta be reasonable at the same time. Besides, it'll make the married couple more passionate of their marriage.

Sure... a friend of mine's little sister just got married.. she was a virgin.. I doubt the marriage will last, but her virginity did. I think waiting until marriage may actually lead to somebody marrying too quickly...

I did and I am glad I did it. There is a sense of pride in yourself and it makes that bond even more special. It is also fun to 'explore' each other and find out likes/dislikes. Don't be shy about asking for what you want and be open to the other partner as well. Believe me that's good times right there! =) Oh yeah, I also gave hubby my purity ring. He really liked that! Good luck!

Everyone starts out saying that they will wait until marriage, but that doesn't mean you will. That's why they have the saying. "With good intentions." I know I didn't wait till marriage.

Me and my bf have decided to wait until marriage. I'm 17, I just don't want to have to deal with getting pregnant because I'm definitely not ready for that!

And no, I'm not a religious freak...i'm not even really doing it for religious purposes.
