When I am feeling down, I love to listen to anything upbeat. No love songs, no country songs. I like the 80's great music! But I also love the oldies (60's) If you are down listen to something that takes you back to a happy time in your life, whether it be 60's, 70's or 80's. A great spike in life.

Yeah, but what I listen to would depend on the degree of "down"...

Down and angry, would vary from Black Sabbath to Rush to Cream to Jimi Hendrix to Merle Haggard.

If the down includes drinking alcohol, it would be Lynard Skynard, The Allman Brothers, The James Gang, JImmy Buffet, Roger Miller, or The Oakridge Boys.

Down and wanting to stay down, would be Hank Williams, Eddie Arnold, Johnny Cash, or Marty Robbins.

Down and wanting to not be down, would be The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Fleetwood Mac, Michael Jackson, Michael Bolton, The Temptations, and anything disco.

If by saying "feeling down", you mean touching below the waist...well, then, there is no other than Barry White!

Depends on the level of down that i might be in.....I don't really have a specific song or song from a time period that gets me up beat. Usually find out that it is usually a song that just plays on the radio. I remember when there was a certain period that was rough. I was giving this coworker a ride home. We were listening to the radio and The Clash's "Rock the Cashbah" came on. I remember my friend and I just sang to the music and that put me in a better mood then what i was feeling. Just has to be a song that uplifts you in a good way.

Nope.. when I'm feeling down, I get way for a while... meditate... commune with nature. When I am back to my senses that's when I listen to 80's, 90's and current music - usually upbeat.
