she's ok but lois lane is known for her passion as a reporter and i didn't see that portrayed in the movie at all. i mean, ok she asked a lot of questions during the scene at the airplane but there was a lack of fiestiness in kate's lois, very far from that of margot kidder or teri hatcher.

I was so waiting for the movie and really enjoyed it on the first day. Kate does not seem to justify the role of lois lane. She has acted well but I feel that some one else may be could have done a better job for this Role. Over all the movie was entertaining.

As far as Im concerned, Margot Kidder will always be Lios Lane. That woman could ACT. Sure the original "Superman: The Movie" wasnt all that good either, but it HAS to be better than this current incarnation.
Kate Bosworth needs to get her money back from the deal she made with the Devil to be an actress. He shortchanged her in the talent department. I knew Ms. Bosworth couldnt act when she kept forgetting her Romanian accent in "Van Helsing".
Dont get me wrong, the woman is gorgeous, but since when does beauty mean talent? Since NEVER. Studios! Stop giving us pretty, no talent actors. If you cant discover actors coming to Hollywood, then start recruiting from film schools, as sports franchises do.

When I did search for Kate Bosworth I was surprised to find out that I've seen almost all of her movies, yet I can't remember her in any of those. I know what she looks like but when somebody says Kate I think Orlando, Non of her movies pop into my head. I think that tells you a lot about an actress.

Not really Im used to seeing Lois Lane being more tough and more helpless because Superman was always saving her.

I think that this is ridiculous.
For one Lois Lane was brown headed.
They need someone that is really involved in Superman and she just doesn't fit the part.

She was given a horrible script. Come on...Lois can't spell? PLEASE! I think she did the best with what she was given. She had to be a mom and a girlfriend of five years and then a confused girlfriend..and a reporter. And they didn't give her much of a chance to report anything. I think her age was right, but she looked a lot older then Superman. Brandon Routh looked nervous at times.

I think Rachel McAdams would have made a better Lois Lane.

There have been numerous Lois Lanes. I wouldn't say that she was the best looking. Replace her. Smallville one, Much Better!

I haven't seen the movie, but I find it hard to imagine she would be a believable lois lane. We'll see.
