ok im going to my dads house he has a xp im going to scan a picture onto the computer then i need to put it in to the paint program that is already on the computer if you can give me step by spet instructions that would be grat thanks

just right click on pic and open with paint

Gosh, haven't used "paint" in years. Much prefer Paint Shop Pro. However, I did find that I do have an older copy of it on my "D" drive.
Scan your pic into a location where it will be easy to locate.
(generate a "temp" folder on the C drive, for example and put it {or them} in there) Open "Paint", click on "File", then click on "Open" and then browse to the temp folder you made ( or where ever you put it (them) and click the Pic. file. That will import it in to the work area of the Paint page. You can then do what ever you want with it, with in the limitations of the Paint program.
