We got our television in 1948 and had but one channel at the time. We watched Howdy Doody every day as well as The Mickey Mouse Club and Uncle Bob. On Tuesday evenings, we watched the Texaco Hour with Milton Berle.

Your question stimulated some fond memories as many kids in our neighborhood gathered at our house every afternoon to watch television because we were the first on the street to get one. Of course, it was all in black and white and tuning in the programs clearly was always a challenge. However, we had loads of fun with the "new fangled contraption."
