How is it that if you kill someone cause you don't like their shoes it is wrong but if you kill them cause you think they'll kill you it is ok? Killing is killing.

Killing someone because you think they'll kill you is not necessarily okay. Killing someone (if it's the only way to stop them) who is actively trying to kill you at that moment is self-defense. You may still feel lousy, but you did what you had to do to survive.

You are equating value of shoes with value of life? It should be self evident, don't you think? Killing over shoes is murder. Killing to protect innocent life is killing. Not trying to be too rude, but your thinking is just plain wrong. Sorry.

It is called self defence and commen sence. The law says there is a difference between killing and murder. Such as you would kill a fly, you wouldn't murder it.

If someone is threatening me and making me think I'll never see my family again I will do everything in my power to insure I do see my family again. That is what a reasonable person would do and why the law would look at that as self defence. I should not have to die to protect my attacker.

The Liberals have taught you well. You now don't believe you have the God given right to live. By your logic, you are willing to die because you were brainwashed into believing your life isn't worth fighting for.

For the first time in my long life, I truely have sympathy for a Liberal. You are truely unable to understand that your right to life is given to you by GOD, and therefore, have a GOD given right to defend your GOD given right, by taking the life of a person trying to take yours.

The earliest writing of the Ten Commandants and the Old Testament say "THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT MURDER'.
The word Murder was changed in later rewrites to Kill. You can Kill and it not be wrong or a sin. You cannot Murder without it being wrong and a sin. Murder is always wrong.

Killing someone in self-defense is just an act of self preservation. You have a right to protect yourself.

Killing someone for shoes is cold blooded murder; you are not in danger.

To kill rather than be killed is the lesser of two evils.

A very good question, to which the only reasonable answer is: I don't know. After all, murder is wrong, but meat is nutritious.
