On mine and my husband's 2nd anniversary I made him a card. I cut out letters and phrases from magazines and put pictures of us in it and he loved it. It was very personal and I could never have found a card that meant as much to him. All of our little personal and privates sayings and inside jokes I put in it and he thought it was great. I also cooked him a steak dinner and served wine. I gave him a DVD and a new wedding band that was way better than the one I gave him when we married. I agree with the answer of give him your time. After we had dinner we watched his DVD and then we had each other. It was a very nice evening.

Your Time.
Make get away arrangements, just a night in a motel with drink and flowers, wear something sexy, forget about the world for a while. Happy anniversary.!.

Something like a fishing rod or a golf club
that kind of thing says
'i love you, i want you enjoy doing something WITHOUT me'
at the 3rd year, I just want to know its okay to be me, most of the marriage set-up work and adjustment is over, I am a good husband and it okay to be myself (my old self from time to time)
