I call it my negative freckles. I don't know your age, but it seemed to hit me around my early 40's. I first noticed it in the summer with my tan skipping the negative freckles. My philosophy is...it is whats on the inside that counts. No one loves me any less than they did before my skin started misbehaving. I'm not sure, but I seem to remember reading at some point that it has auto-immune connections. I am hypothyroid with Hasimoto's Disease which is the auto-immune disease that attacks the thyroid. Where there is one auto-immune disease...others seem to erupt.
