liberty, about countries working together or sam from a meat packaging company in a time of war?
I have to say that uncle sam is usually a more fun character, and has gained depth with publicity, but I would rather have the statue of liberty be the symbol of my country, and the symbol I stood behind.

The Statue of Liberty lifts her lamp to the down-trodden "huddled masses yearning to be free". Uncle Sam was created during WW1 as an Army recruting campaign. I like the attitude af diversity and inclusiveness much more than the hawkish war symbol.

The Statue of Liberty; because she has remained the silhouette of freedom for all those who have come to America in the past few centuries and remains their today as a promise to it.
