Pretty straight forward, I guess. I've been doing alot of research and i'm attempting to convince my mother. Any answers? (or other suggestions on this topic)

it leaves a minimal yet noticeable scar. I'm not sure of people of lighter skin heritage. I'm black and i have one on my lower lip it's not too bad most people don't notice it until i point it out. i could take a pic for you to see. email me if interested. i don't really regret having done it but i hate having scars. i do wish i didn't have the mark

The scar shouldn't be bad at all. Make sure you go to a liscensed and professional piercer. That can make all the differences

Don't get lip rings. It might leave a scar in your mouth forver and you might regret getting one if you get an infection.
