I saw her on Larry King live just recently tonight, all she did was get up there and tell the facts. Everybody is twisting reality around to make Star look like some kind of monster. This is a new side of Barbara Walters that we haven't seen, she's the monster and everyone is trying to protect her. Barbara Walters said all these things about Star Jones and Star proved these accusations wrong with facts. There have been questions on Yahoo Answers about this situation and everyone is bashing Star Jones. How can you say something so rude about someone that you don't even know. People need to stop twisting reality and get with the truth. Why is everyone trying to make Star look bad when she didn't do anything wrong?

Star Jones never played the "race card" as you say, she only talked about the facts. You're the only one playing the "race card". What an ignorant racist.

This is such an interesting topic because it a multi-layered with ambition and emotions. A little history is required here about Barbara Walters.Barbara's true colors have truly been shown. Barbara has always been a back stabber all the way up her career ladder from the beginning until now. Ask Hugh Downs, Debbie Matenoupolos, and now Star Jones. I really don't care for either one of them. But it has become shocking because BW has done so much to change her "snake in the grass" image to this compassionate, matronly woman. BW is a part of ABC decision makers so she has always been in the know. The most difficult part for BW is that Star Jones pulled back the covers and did not go quietly into the night. So the ABC spin monsters are out to change a subtle campaign of Star bashing to an out and out flood of negativity against her. Personally I don't watch regularly but with Meredith gone and Rosie coming is there any credibility going be on the view.

This situation reminds me of the line from the Godfather, " it was Barzini all along ". For months we heard Rosie O' Donnell attacking Star for no reason at all. Barbara Walters simply sat back after hiring Rosie and said nothing. Now it is obvious Barbara Walters; like a dog from hell , was behind the whole thing to hound Star Jones off the show.
Walters states ABC research showed people were dissatisfied with Star's explanation of her dramatic weight loss and public wedding. Are you kidding me ? Has Barbara Walters ever been honest about her multiple cosmetic surgeries? Is Star the only celebrity to have a highly publicize wedding were photos of it were sold. That BS explanation shows what she thinks of her audience. Star lost weight and got married and they can't deal with it. Barbara Walters also screwed Lucy Ling back in the day and I vaguely remember Debbie Matanapolis, that 4Xbrbe mentioned ( not really a View fan ).

Star Jones is a class act. On Larry King, June 29, she admits when she was wrong. She should not have used her celebrity to get freebies. She is being persecuted by people in the audience who are jealous of her weight loss, success as a lawyer, author, and new wife. She is a great gal. I often dislike Joy Behar's behavior on The View. I rarely agree with what Joy says and often agree with what Star says. ABC wanted to get rid of Star, not Barbara Walters. I really feel Rosie O'Donnell is the wrong person to be on The View. Star, you are tops with me, lady!!!! You will succeed in whatever you do! Good Luck!

While I'm not exactly a fan of Star Jones, the whole business of her being fired was lame and amateur on the part of ABC and Barbara Walters.
I hate The View, it's stupid derivative crap, coming from the mouths a bunch of female bozos. Joy Behar constantly rants about silly nonsense. Elizabeth is the worst. This snakey medusa lips keeps talking about being a Republican. She's a very stupid idiot.
Watch Oprah, or some other talk show on another network instead.

Everyone knows Star Jones is a little bit messed up in the head. You really can't take her seriously. Barbara Walters is a much more respected individual.

I think Star is the one twisting the truth, not that Walters looks like a rose. However, she committed the worst TV talk show sin, she aired dirty laundry on her co-hosts. She'll never to another talk show, unless she finds a company to back a solo gig. Then it will be all about Star--until it gets cancelled before the first season is over.

I think the real Barbara Walters took her phony mask off. I can't understand why people are referring to her as powerful and classy. She has proved that she can be just as low down as anyone else. Too bad, after all of the crap she has had to endure being a female to get to her status. She is making it harder for females to get ahead by engaging in a public cat fight. As much as I hate to admit it, I think males would maybe have differences such as this, but I think they would handle it in a much more professional manner. Too bad, too sad for both of them. I think Barbara has lost a lot more dignity than Star has. I think a lot of people view her differently after this B(**tchy public display. I can say I am truly surprised by her actions. I held her in a much higher status before this last week. B. Walters you blew it.

Barbara walters also screwed Debbie Matanapolis off the show years ago. I can't stand barbara, I think she's a phony snake. Good for Star to leave the show her way & not go by their timeline.

It was time for Star to leave the show long ago. She wasn't important to the show, view's research showed this too. She did do something wrong and admits it now. You don't surprise your employer like that on national TV, plain and simple. They have meetings for every show before it goes on the air to review/comment and correct what is going to be talked about and done. All these shows are made to look like its just a bunch of people chatting having coffee, but its not. Her reasons for doing what he did are unprofessional.

I saw her on Larry King too, you're right all she did was tell the truth. It so annoying how people always twist reality into their own little fake story.
