I have already tried system analyzer and bios agent, and niether one of them showed me the bios ID. I have !!Already Tried!! using the "Pause Break" key during the system startup (with quiet boot disabled like it should be when this is supposed to work) and when I press the key the bios ID is not displayed. I have Phoenix bios 4.0 revision 6. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Best answer will be the first person, if any, to provide advice that works.

I was trying to fill out a form for a bios update and it had a field for the bios ID. An example was given with a date followed by letter and numbers. It looked something like -10/9/2000 -SDFL0923KJD320DFSJK

What is a Bios ID? In 16 years, I have never heard of such a thing. You know the Bios Brand and version. The Computername and MAC address can be gotten from My Computer and My Network properties. What else would you need? Maybe you can be more specific?

There is a great free program out called Sisoft Sandra, and I'll bet it will provide that info with the system info.
On my system, it provides the ID under the MAINBOARD section.
Don't forget to scroll down. If it's not the right ID in the ID section, scroll to System BIOS. The ID will likely be there.
