I remember reading somwhere maybe a year ago about a new $1 bill issued to commemerate the Chinese New Year. It was sold at $88. Anyone know about it and where is it sold? Thanks,

It was a bill but not circulated. It is issued in limited quantity.

It is a fake. Made outside the government so it is not real it is a novelty dollar.

Any place that makes signs or business cards can make funny money, just put "custom dollar bills" in any search engine and yoou'll see lots of fake bills.

I doubt that the US Mint would re-tool its entire production line to make a commemorative bill. Perhaps it was a coin?
