During the Gore/Bush debates (remember these were held to a minimum), Al Gore pointed out that Bush's plans would be spending our surplus three times. Bush responded by saying Gore was using FuzzyMath (we all now what that is now, don't we?).
The Right Column took the phrase and plastered it all over the place.
In the end, Bush did indeed, squander the surplus and plummeted you, your children and your grandchildren into a national debt that was only comparable to the money grab made during Dutch Reagan's regime.

Thanks Shrub!! Hope we get to return the favor to you someday.

Although he repeated the phrase several times, he never discussed specific problems with Mr. Gore's reasoning or his figures, nor did he offer any alternatives.

I gradually came to understand that by ''fuzzy math'' Mr. Bush meant, ''Math is confusing and fuzzy, so ignore it.''

Okay now, that's a good quesiton posed with just a little too much name calling.

I'm a republican, which means I'm for small govt, state's rights, less taxes = smaller AND less invasive govt. Les is more in every way both financially & in ripping powers away from the feds back to the states in accordance with what the constitution says & intends. I'm for govt leaving me alone & letting me do it for myself or fall flat on my face & start over till I get it right, and wehn I do, let me buy my lake house & sit around watching the sun set till I die w/o you raping my bank acct every year. That's what it means to be a republican.

I'll skip the foreign policy, cause I agree with what we're doing & am willing to spend out of the box to accomplish those missions, but I can also tell you the DOD is retarded about the way it spends money & Rumsfled should be fired for that alone. You see the equipment replacement figures just came out. Rediculous. Go read some history about what Truman did to FDRs war spending from the Senate in the front end of WWII.

That said, almost ALL republicans are pissed off at congress & the President for acting not at all like conservatives. We're the ones that want stuff like balanced budget amendments (except for emergency/disaster or war spending). Democrats won't gain seats in November because there's more of them than republicans, they'll gain seats because republicans are pissed & some will stay home to send a message (it doesn't have anything to do with the war).

I figure ut had to be QUITE fuzzy. Anyone that comes into office with a SURPLUS budget and then squanders it in 3 months needs to brush up on his math.

Anyone that consistently gives tax breaks to the richest 2% in the country during a time of war needs to brush up on his math as well as economics 101.
