If you like camping Lake McConaughy in Nebraska is a great place. The travel magazines say that the white sand beaches rival that of Hawaii. This weekend(4th of July) they are expecting over 100,000 visitors. Go to this web site and type in lake mcconaughy in search box and click on Image search to see the pictures. It's a beautiful lake!

Outside the U.S., Tokyo is AMAZING! There is so much to so and it's very safe.
In the U.S., I really enjoyed San Fransisco, CA; the pier for whale watching, and visiting Alcatraz (I thought it would be a bit morbid, but it wasn't, it was really interesting!). Also, in CA, Yosemite National Park is fabulous! It's beautiful, the hiking trails are a blast (they range from easy to hard), and the scenery is so terrific!

Thailand. The expensive part is the plane ticket, but after that it is inexpensive. I read a rock climbing article that said something about being a tourist there is a great way to help them build their economy after the tsunami.
