The very joys of being human.
Being who you are. Being able to share love with another human being know that you mean it with your complete body and soul.
Being able to behave whatever way comes naturally to you, regardless of what others thing, whether it's swaggering and dressing in gleaming leather with muscles bulging or swish it a little or a lot and dish celbrity gossip. Or one on one day and the other the next. Or neither of those and just somewhere in between.
Knowing the correct way of saying "heeeeeeeeey!"
Having girlfriends who are girls and girlfriends who are boys and boyfriends who are boys and boyfriends who are girls.
Being able to go into a bar when all you are is horny and being able to be blatantly honest about it.
Getting your toaster.
Getting the inside joke about the toaster.
Knowing that others who hate you or fear you or attack you because of you being yourself are just wrong... and that karma is a b***h.

The joys are the same as the joys that come with being Straight!
" Gays" as you put it ......... are the same as everyone else, no matter of the size, race, religion, or sexual orientation.
We are humans too! And we have a lot to be proud of. That is more than a lot of arrogant gay bashing haters could say for them self.

I would think that the greatest joy in being gay is the level of awareness about yourself and others you have to follow your heart in such a difficult lifestyle for people to understand. Most people don't "get" gay people (or anyone different from them) and once you join "the team" you certainly get it. Most gay people have amazing, compassionate tolerance for others facing discrimination. I think that's something you just can't "get" without experiencing it first hand.
I would say the love thing but straight people enjoy love too and so that isn't really something special about being gay.

Well, the same as the joy of being straight. Be it sexual, emotional, financial, psychological etc....Most poeple just want to find a person they can connect with, settle down and build a life with. Grow old with (pleas excuse my hopelessly romantic side). The joy of being gay is not greater than the joy of being straight..being in love.
Some will say the sex is better. In some cases I'm sure it is, but thats a little bias for me to say because of course I'm going to say sex with women is better...I'm a lesbian lol. I'm sure there are many sexually satisfied heterosexuals.
Let me add also that I think another joy of being gay (atleast for myself) is the ability to see, accept, believe, and respect other people and their decisions. Notice the prior answers of:
NONE NONE NONE NONE etc and the "diseases and graves" comment..posted by straight poeple I'm sure who can;t possibly see, believe, accept or respect that another person could be happy being someone they can;t see themselves being. Or doing something they can;t see themselves doing. I believe that heterosexual people can be just as happy and satisfied and gays, but that belief is not reciprocated. I value my open mind and treat everyone else ( or strive to) as I would want to be treated. That is joy for me.

The same as being straight. You are happy that you know your sexuality, and if you do find a partner, or some temporary companionship, you have the joy of their company, just like a straight person.

The definition itself means to be happy. I love being a gay woman. It's so beautiful to be able to connect so well with a woman, beyond a friendship. It means so much to the human soul to be in love, and to embrace who you are at the same time, when you know that you are know different from anyone else.
