The hoop is 18 inches in diameter and sits away from the board by a few inches, so the horizontal distance is about 13 feet. The actual distance would angle up to the hoop's height of 10 feet above the floor, which means the real distance from the free throw line to the nearest point on the hoop is about 16 feet.

A free throw line shall be drawn (2" wide) across each of the circles indicated in the court diagram. It shall be parallel to the end line and shall be 15' from the plane of the face of the backboard.

12 ft. 11-3/8 inches (13 inches) thats the the front of the rim but to the center some were around 15 ft.
