Yes, there is a pressure change with altitue. The higher you go, the less air pressure there is. As far as joint pain, unless you've been scuba diving or inside some form of high pressure facility and have the bends (Decompression Sickness) there is no reason that JUST a change in altitude will cause joint pain.

Yes I find when pressure starts to drop I have an increase in pain levles.
