All my teammates are using Cutters gloves, and they say that Nike gloves suck because when they get wet, they lose their effectiveness. Anybody out there have any recommendations? Thanks.

Yeah, Cutters makes some quality football gloves. I don't play WR (I'm actually a RB/LB) but I would recomment the Cutters Pro-Fit Receiver Glove...they retain grip even when wet and they come in color schemes that no other manufacturers offer. I also got a chance to try a pair of Reebok Speed Grip Reciever Gloves this past week...they're nice too...they have this new "Griptonite" Technology on there that keeps the palms dry even when the gloves are wet...I'd still go with the Cutters Pro-Fit Receivers gloves, simply because they look better than anything Nike has to offer and also because the palm is grippier. For a less expensive alternative...try Reebok's X-Treme Grip II gloves.

Why would you need gloves? You are practicing without, why use a band-aid for the games, I don't understand.

Tim Brown, the 2nd greatest reciever of all time, taped his knuckles to prevent them from being dislocated (he played with Jay Shroeder and Jeff George during his career) but only wore gloves once and it was a game most Raider fans would like to forget forever.

If you want to look pretty, wear wrist bands.

I have a recommendation...don't use gloves.
Learn to catch the ball with bare hands before you get into college.

When you go to the pros, if Cutter offers you a pair for free...take 'em ... but only wear them if Cutter pays you.

No gloves would be your best bet by far.

Why? No glove, no love.
