i think its a good age to start experimenting with make up. my mom let me have make up when i was around 6 so i could learn how i liked it.

I used to do Aveda makeups for clients and the best thing if a 10 1/2 yr old wants makeup to feel older is going with light colors such as creme or pink eye shadows and colored lip gloss. As the body matures and she gets into mid teens let her find herself. Try to take her to a salon and get makeup put on; most of the time it's about $15, but you can get discounts if you buy their products. Like I've mentioned in the past you pay for the quality and Aveda is one of the best and natural products out there. But I would understand the you might want her to try "cheaper" makeup until she's mature enough to take care of her possessions.

Too young......make up just clogs up pores so I wouldn't be in a hurry if I didn't have to be. I'd suggest to a 10/11 year old to wear a tinted lip gloss and maybe a clear mascara (or, I put a little bit of vaseline on my finger and then applied it to my eyelashes like mascara when I was 11). Anything more than that just makes a 10 or 11 year old look "painted".

Yes, that is a very YOUNG age to start wearing make-up.
But if she feels that she must wear make up (remeber an 11 yr. old still is a KID), something appropiate would be sheer lip gloss. Something from Smackers or of that kind. Curled eyelashes would also do the job.
Eyeliner and eyehadow is really not appropiate for her age, Maybe untill she's 4 years older.

a ten or eleven year old should use natural earth tones like browns and tans and if you are wearing bright colors maybe pink... don't over do it or people get the idea that you are trying to be older than you act

I think that 10-11 is too early for make-up every day, but if you are going to a special function, I would just let her use some very neutral lip gloss, some sparkly (very light pastel) eye shadow, and some mascara. More than that, and it loses its innocence.

,As a make-up artist I think ten is a little young. I would recommend experimenting with maybe a light gloss and a light pink blush that's it. If you let her experiment with more and then dont allow it, she may wear it behind your back. Good luck

yeah ,that's young to be wearing makeup. If you let her wear it now she's going to think that she's grown. Don't let her wear it plz

well yes and no. if you wear too much-- then ppl will think that you look like a ho or your acting to grown up for your age. but a little bit won't hurt. possibly try the egyptian style eyliner.
