Why are republicans obsessed with Guns? Should the UN Ban Personal Gun ownership?

It seems republicans get so mad when someone trys to take their guns from them.

Why dont they spend their time trying to save our forest, our environment, Polar Ice caps, Disease, Aids, Cancer, Support a womans right to chose abortion?

Is this is good as it gets for republicans?

I model for a local swimsuit company in Central Florida and as I was modeling a man comes up to me qouting scripture and low and behold on his car was a W Bush Bumpersticker and an NRA Sticker.

What has this world come to?

You should be deeply afraid of lossing our guns. This is a constitutional right. Next most american scientist don't agree with the global warming idea, they say about 1 degree in 100 years, that the polar ice caps grow and melt in cycles.

And they should of course support the right of the fetus ( child) and stop abortions, since there is no real right to it ( right to privacy was a incorrect ruling)

And the right to own guns is a protection for all people, the reason it was put in, was that if the US government was ever too corrupt, the people would be armed to be able to take over the nation.

And if this was made as a treaty, aproved by Congress it could over ride our constittion. Even worst do away with it.

The UN has no jurisdiction over other independent countries constitution. and the Second Amendment clearly states that in order to protect America the public must be able to own fire arms.

oh, and that abortion crack...it should be a choice between the mother and the father. if there is no father, than it is the mothers choice. if the father wants the kid, the mother should have to go through with the pregnancy and the father gets full rights to the kid, even if he isnt out of the womb yet...at least thats what i would do.

and saying Disease, AIDS, and Cancer is being redundant, seeing as Cancer and Aids are both diseases.

Where do you want us to start. Sounds like you are a diehard liberal and just want to bait us. Maybe you should try to understand the constitution before you start making statements. There is no right to abortion written into life or the constitution. Global warming is most likely caused by the sun despite what Gore says. "All" the scientists do not agree that it is caused by man. They well tell you that one volcano blowing its top is like a hundred years of pollution though. Bush has sent more money into disease research than Clinton did. Our forests are not in danger, there is actually more wooded land in the US then there was a hundred years ago. Take some time to look at the real world.

I don't know if the GOP can take all the blame for gun toting when we have historically had more gun deaths than anyone else in the developed world. People here act like owning a gun is a constitutional right, or something. Oh wait, it actually is...

Yes, the UN should ban personal gun ownership.

They must ALSO DISARM ALL POLICE DEPARTMENTS AND MILITARY.

They should also BAN THE INTERNET. It is a FACT that it is being use to commit crimes including TERRORISM, DRUG TRAFFICKING, CHILD PORNOGRAPHY, and EXTORTION!

Also, the UN should BAN AUTOMOBILES in America. Over 40,000 AMERICANS ARE KILLED EACH YEAR IN CAR CRASHES! Where is the outrage?

The must also ban anyone saying things that could be considered inflamatory or conspiratory towards the UN. Also, anyone who disagrees with them shold be reprogrammed, as their brains must be kind of messed up if they can't see how the above actions are only meant for their own good.

If the UN were proactive in doing the above, there would be many lives saved and we would all be a freer, happier and more united people.

Why are liberals so obsessed with marijuana? Why do liberals want to ruin legitimate business just to get high.

Why do you liberals not support our right to protect our lives from criminals? Why do liberals protect criminals and not do anything to help the victim of a monster?


We believe life begins at conception, therefore we believe abortion is murder. This is a contention neither one of us is going to agree on so let's just leave it alone.

Bush has done more about AIDS than Clinton has done, even Bono had to admit that.

As far as cancer, poverty, medical costs I give money out of my own pocket. Do you, or do expect the government to do that for you?

The thing is both sides can play this game. And the thing is I don't think you really care what we believe. There are a few things I wish I understood about liberals, but I guess I probably wouldn't be satisfied with the answer.

The UN banning guns?!! That's impossible, they can't even control the Iran problem so what power do they really have. They're too afraid to throw some sanctions on them.
And having guns is in the constitution and it's a detterant against other countries from even considering invading us.

It is irrelevant to most of us if the UN bans personal gun ownership. They have no way to enforce such a thing.

The world is about like it has always been. Some people see abortion as a woman's right to kill a child she carries and somebody else sired. Some people see it as a woman's right to control anything within her body as part of her body.

I am not a republican, but I would get mad if you took my gun from me. You might be mad if I took away one of your constitional rights. People see things differently. Condescending preachy questions are rarely helpful.

This is the worst question ever. Guns take the power away from law abiding citizens to defend themselves. Criminals and people who mean to murder will not stop from getting guns.

As far as I'm concerned the UN should NEVER EVER EVER ban anything in the US, regardless of what it is. That's the Federal Government's job. Anyone who knows anything knows that the UN a joke anyway....case and point....Sanctioning Iraq. That achieved a lot.

We republicans are for preserving the rights guaranteed to us by the constitution, a document liberals are always trying to tear apart.

And by the way, we are in favor of conservation, the environment, fighting disease and keeping innocent babies alive.

Being republican is as good as it gets because it means you stand for things that are real, not just the fad of the day.

Another thing - I don't give a flip what the UN bans or ok's. Thank God they're not in charge.
