I don't think we will ever know the truth but the why Star left was unprofessional. She said that she considered herself being fired. If she was fired she wouldn't have stayed so long. They didn't renew her contract. but she had her job until August. Rosie made some remarks about her , if they weren't true , why was she upset about the remarks. I would have enjoyed seeing the two of them on the same show. They are different but that would have made the show interesting. Life is boring if everyone always agrees and never says what they think. Who cares on how she lost the weight it was her business not ours. About the wedding asking for freebies that's the first time I have heard of that. Its done today weddings are getting very expensive.

Some reports say it was her change in appearance and something to do with her wedding. (So it's a crime to loose weight and get married?) Also, these reports said that these two things somehow put people off. O.k., so, let's see, Oprah can loose and gain back weight and loose it again but not Star Jones. When the latter does it, it's somehow weird. Why is that? It seems that people are just retarded about what people can do as far as self-improvement on just this odd little program. Rosie O'Donnell sure won't do the show a bit of good. (Of course, I never watched it much anyhow---it always reminded me of that dorky Saturday Night Live Mike Myers schtick Cauwwwwfee Tauwwwwwk!) But boorish Rosie will sink that little wooden ship like a catapulted boulder! Anybody placing bets?

Because she is an arrogant self righteous hypocrite who is unwilling to share the spotlight with a new cohost...she apparently thought she would have more control over the panel with Meredith's leaving and was unhappy about Rosie being the new replacement. She preaches honesty and being non-judgemental, but she is the biggest racist of them all who for some reason thinks were all idiots who believe her story that she lost all that weight and toned herself up with exercise alone. If it was true, why was she so upset with Rosie's comments? Rosie just said what most of us were thinking anyway....I'm am so glad she is gone! I do believe with her blatant disrespect for Barbara and the View in general, she will fade into oblivion where she'll have all the time in the world to reflect on what the real definition of "backstabbing" is.....

Well, the official reason was ratings showed that her popularity had diminished, especially since her wedding was shamelessly soliciting endorsements on the show.
The audience didn't like it. rightfully so.
Then, her vocal dissaprovement of Rosie didn't help her.
She quoted that she was more popular as an overweight single women than she as a thin married woman,
EIther way, she's got a major tude on the show and I'm so glad she's gone.

Because Rosie O'Donnell doesn't like her and it was a condition of her joining the show.

They would not renew her contract because the viewers did not like her after her weight loss and her lavish wedding.
