I know I can't really dance, but I can move to the beat. I don't try too hard in public, but when I'm at home. . . . WATCH OUT! I look at my dancing at home as an arobic exercise. I'm secure in with myself and am able to laugh at myself.
There is no other way to tell a person they can't dance. Just be honest with them. If they are your friends, they would want your honesty.

I think I can dance. I like to get down and dirty with the ladies.
A nice way to tell someone they can't dance is to try and help them.

I can dance! Ive won talent shows for 5yrs in a row.
A nice way to tell a person they cant dance is by just helping them in the points their bad at or just say"Look, It seems like your having a problem getting this/these moves right. If you want I could help you."

I see more people smiling at me when I start dancing, I've been complimented by men and women.. so I guess I know a trick or two
The best way to tell someone they can't is to show them how, like some people I met, they either don't move their hips enough or move it the wrong way, most people are very happy when I try to help them to dance the "right " way by dancing with them, cause when you dance with them it's very friendly and approaching gesture.

Of course I can dance!
The nicest way to tell someone they can`t dance is making a joke about the way that u dance and when they laugh say U CANT DANCE ANY BETTER. This way u both end up laughing about each other.

Yes i know that I am a very good dancer. It is one of my favorite past times and I wish that I could go dancing more often. It is hard to tell someone that they can not dance. The only positive side to it is that sanding next them you look like the worlds best dancer.

I know I can. I've been asked to videos for night clubs. And as for if someone can't how do I tell them well if I'm really close with them I don't have to worry about it because we both will have a good time with the fact. If I so so know them I've asked him to have a seat and I've danced for him and around him. (He seemed to really enjoy it) and if I don't know them I'll dance with them any way (they always walk away with a smile on their face)
And of course I always say "Thank You for the dance".

Be kind and gentle when you tell it but unless they're planning to enter contest etc does it really matter? You can also when you tell in respectful kind considerate-how you'd want someone to tell you-have a gift certificate for some dancing lessons that is if the person really likes to dance.

Um are we talking in like a ballet class because there is only one way just saying "maybe dancing isn't for you" if your in a relationship with someone who can't dance, don't take them to an event where you have to dance or just don't mind that they aren't a good dancer, enjoy the person, not the dancer ;-). get it got it good!

There is an African saying that basically says,
"if you can talk you can sing - if can walk you can dance".
The problem is, it doesn't necessarily mean well....:}
As for me, I can sing, I can dance, I can act, I can teach
And best of all, I can tell you want to do cause I'm a mom and I preach!
