I am pretty sure thats what they use.

just checked and they sell carbon paper for tattoo transfers, i would check it out though to see if those are different from normal carbon paper sold in supply stores.

OK...Closest to the UK...you have the Internet in your home right? Now that's close! Try Technical Tattoo Supply, King Pin Tattoo Supply, Superior Tattoo Supply, CAM Tattoo Supply, or even Unimax Tattoo Supply..... all based in the US.. but online! FYI, carbon paper or carbon film will leave VERY unhappy. Ask for "Thermo - fax paper". It does not work with carbon paper copiers..but it will work with a thermofax printer ( very expensive) or with some patience... a nice fine tip ball point pen. Good Luck

While I doubt the carbon paper is dangerous, I do know that self tattoos are. If you can't afford a real tattoo done by a bonafide artist, I'd wait until I could. Over time, all tattoos change and become less defined. Home tattoos tend to look like really bad prison tats.

Carbon would be alright for transfers but if your going to use a needle in making it permanent I would not suggest it. As with any mineral you can overdose and you would be putting it directly into your bloodstream. Although I did find an e-bay site that sells it but there in the United Kingdome.
