The Anvil Of Crom (the opening theme from "Conan the Barbarian")
by Basil Pouledouris, composer of the "Conan the Barbarian" soundtrack.
Either that one or the second track, "Riders of Doom"
As movies and soundtracks go, "Conan the Barbarian" was more operatic in scope than anything else, except maybe "Predator," by Alan Silvestri. That's why the music is good. The action on the screen doesn't tell the story so much as the music that the audience hears tells it.
Interesting that both movies are Arnold movies. (Hey, just because he isn't that good a governator, doesn't mean he did poor work as an actor.) I suppose it's his Austrian heritage coming out. (Austria - the home of the Viennese Opera - land of some ok musicians like... Mozart!)
Peace,
VT
