What part of Brazil are you going to? About 6 hours flying time to get TO Brazil. Could be 8 hours, could be 12 hours. Also keep in mind that Brazil is a large country, so WHERE in Brazil you are going will change the amount of time it will take.

It is customary for airlines to pad their published flight duration with extra time (to demonstrate 'on-time performance'). Flying eastbound, with the typical tail wind can allow you to make the crossing in about 7 hours. However, the reverse (London to the US, with a headwind) will add at least another hour or more.

ok there alll wrong because my dad lives in brazil and it takes abou 12 to 13 hours

think the first time it took us about 12 hours though it seemed longer,and that was from Atlanta,to Miami,to Caracas,to Trinidad,to Rio.
last time I went I was too affraid to fly so I took a cruise down.
