About seventy percent of the girls I know (my mom included) has the middle name of Elizabeth. What's up with that?

If you do some research you will find that it has been said to actually mean "a lizard birth". I'm not joking.

I don't know how old you are, but your mom's middle name probably was some reference to Queen Elizabeth or Elizabeth Taylor (people tend get named after popular people).

I named my first daughter with a middle name of Elizabeth in honour of Her Majester Queen Elizabeth II. I named my second daughter with a middle name of Anne in honour of Princess Royal Anne Windsor.

my first name is Elizabeth and about every womans middle name in my family is Elizabeth. I guess it is an old name that can come from many backrounds(hebrew, english, european) It's the type of name that gets passed on throughout family

I used it for my daughters middle name because it was the name of my childhood babydoll..she looked just like it at birth..
I do not know anyone else with that middle name..
