I'm self-conscious about me nose *sigh*, and someday, i might have some work done. Do you think i should just learn to live with my flaws, or just say, "what the heck" and get it done?

I do think plastic surgery is stupid. You should love yourself no matter what...what if Barbara Streisand had fixed her nose? Look at Jennifer Grey from Dirty Dancing. She fixed her nose and didn't even look like herself any more and the jobs stopped coming in! It would be a boring, boring world if we all looked alike.

I dont think plastic surgery is stupid. If it's going to make you feel 10000 times better about something on you then go for it! You will love it in the end. AND it wont look fake if you go to the right person, a lot of people have plastic surgery and you dont even know it, The in plastic surgery is the natural look anyway these days!

Not everybody's perfect! Sometimes even the prettiest people have flaws somewhere! Plus, the bad thing about plastic surgery is...it could go the wrong way and you'll be dealing with an even worse nose then you were to begin with! Just live with it and be proud.

Honestly, I don;t agree with plastic surgery. If you really think about how amazing it is that each human in this world looks different... then you won't want to try to look the same as everyone else. Rhinoplasties look brutal (when they hammer off the cartilage) and I don't think you should put yourself through that. You will learn to love what makes you unique and I'm sure the people around you already do : )

Yes and no. I think it is stupid if it is for minor flaws like in your case. Now, if there is major scar tissue that sort of thing from a fire or whatever which wasn't the person's fault, then I would say plastic surgery would not be stupid at all in that case.

It's your personal choice. I had my eyelids done a few years ago (they were the oldest looking part of my face) and have been quite happy with the results. Just choose your surgeon carefully, and ask to see before and after pics when you have an appointment.
Btw, plastic surgery I do think is silly is breast enlargement. They look fake, they feel fake (I'm an OR nurse, and have prepped fake boobs for surgery), and when your own breast tissue sags with age, they look really horrid.

leave it alone people that need plastic surgery (from being in a car crash ect) i would say its ok but to have it done because you don't like your nose is stupid. Do you know that insurance does not pay for plastic surgery? and if something goes wrong or it gets infected insurance will not pay for it? just a few thoughts

I think that plastic surgery is sad. You are unique in that you don't look like anyone else on the planet. You should learn to love yourself. You'll be happier and it'll cost you less in the long run. Do you really think you look so bad that you would go to such drastic measures and surgery. In my opinion it should only be for those people who are disfigured. If they choose.

i think that u should not do surgery. I say live and learn with it!... most of the time surgery has a bad side to it.. and u don't want 2 be a michael jackson wannabe!!! his nose is practically off by now!

Very good question, and not the no-brainer everyone would have you believe. I've had friends that have had it done, and they look great, and couldn't be happier. I also recently saw Ashley Simpson after her nose job, and think that she was much, much hotter before. If you do it, just stick with the nose, though!
