I have a MySpace page and I love it! I've found friends from high school and boot camp who I haven't talked to in forever. I also talk to my brothers and my sister on it A LOT more than before we all had it.
That being said, it is very dangerous. I do believe it's worse than chat rooms because these young teenagers have all these pictures up there trying to be sexy and these predators can just pick and choose. I believe that if you're under 18 your parents need to give you permission and monitor your MySpace. Of course many parents would rather be their children's friends than actually parents. The Internet is a very dangerous place for kids and we, as parents, need to protect them.

No MYSPACE is not full of predators. Predators are everywhere in chatrooms and blogs. Just because Dateline has made it a point to use MYSPACE as an example does not mean they are full or the sole place for predators.
Predators, pedophiles , bad people are everywhere, in our kids schools, in our churches , at work, your spouse. Predators can be anyone. It is sad that MYSPACE a place where people can chat and blog has to be made the scapegoat for people with a problem.
PARENTS need to be more aware of their kids actions and little girls need to stop dressing and posing as older than they are. It is parents responsibility to talk to their children about their behavior. It is up to kids follow their parents rules and follow safety advice. And stop acting irresponsibly on the internet. Young girls constantly put sexy pictures of themselves, parents check your kids, dont' blame the site, blame yourselves for not being active in your kids lives and not knowing what's going on in your own homes.

I believe it is cuz MY SPACE is no better than the CHAT ROOM. Anybody & everybody get on those sites just 2 c whose on hthose sites. Its a good thing 4 me cuz I started 2 get a MY SPACE site, I changed my mind about it so now I dont jave one 4 others 2 B nosey about the whole thing & whats the point of having yur own space when almost every & anybody is just invading & doing everything they can 2 get others N2 trouble. Both the CHAT ROOM & MY SPACE is another way 4 dumb @zz crazy people 2 get on those sites & go 4 the younger adults, they might as well B looking 4 the younger crowd cuz there is just way 2 many people getting on those sites.
