Well, from what I found, it seems that it is ok for you to use during you pregnancy...For the Clindamycin Lotion they haven't found any evidence demonstrating that it affects the fetus in any way. So it should be fine to use it. But I still recommend you talk to you Physician and I just keep in mind that what ever you put in your body and if it is something that gets absorbed in your blood then it will travel through the baby too, and therefore can affect the baby.

1. Ask your family doctor or your OB.
2. ALL pharmaceutical companies are required to include in the product insert what the pregnancy risk is. Note - the full "product inserts" are *not* always included: recent FDA rule changes permit an abbreviated version for patients. Your pharmacist will have the full version available to you, if you ask.
3. Pregnancy is the bullet point for the product insert. It is usually about 2/3 down from the top.
4. The risk catagories are A, B, C, D. This means:
A - no evidence of risk, based upon compariative controlled study in humans.
B - limited data available, based upon either human or animal tests, whatt data is available indicates that the risk is minimal
C - no human data is available - or - animal data indicates some risk
D - Human data indicates risk to baby. ("complications" during pregancy is in this category.
5. Based upon your health, the specific problem requiring medication, and your doctor's input, s/he will recommend whether to continue the medication.
From personal experince, I take medication that is listed as C (no data available). I have epilepsy - the risk to the baby is really big, if I have a seizure, compared to the risk to the baby of exposure to the drug's byproducts. I took this throughout the pregnancy, and had a perfectly healthy baby with no complications.
Note: most pharmaceutical companies *do not* do tests on pregnant women, which means that the vast majority of them are Category C. (who wants to accept the risk of problems to the baby?). You are most likely to find that the product you use is Class C.

the web-site is right, only your Dr can answer that question. Because different medication have different effects w/ different circumstances (high blood pressure, anemia, gestational diabetes) only your Dr will be able to tell you if it is okay for YOU to use it.
I had a few different medication I had to ask my Dr about while I was pregnant, I just called her on the phone and if she wasn't available I got a call back usually the same day.
Sorry I'm not more help! Good luck w/ your pregnancy.

Definitely call your doctor, and hold off on the applications of this until you get his or her answer.
