Officals in separatist Russian Republic say Zabani Khakimova is 124 years old.
If her age is authenticated, Mrs. Khakimova would beat the current record-holder Maria Ester de Capovilla. Capovilla turned 116 on September 14, 2005. There is also a Japanese woman Kamoto Hongo who will be 116 years old in September 2006.
The worlds oldest man is also Japanese. Yukichi Chuganji, took the title in January of 2002 aged 112.
