i am a fan of both of them. Kelly Clarkson song i love ..they are from the heart but so are Avril lavgian. Avril lavgian is pop star too singer also but many people classifier as rock. id do some research and find out that she is a pop star sing when you look in to the evidence and plus the internet said so..LOL..BUT i like avirl lavgians songs better, she has her own personal style and as much as ppl call her a punk, she disagree..i also like that fact since...my cousin won't stop calling me a punk too, when i complete don't think i am. Avirl lavgian is maturing and dosen't have that punkish style of look as she did when she was yoounger...well, my point or answer is i guess.....that love avirl lavgian songs better and (i am a person who likes anytime of music)....i have to say though i can relate to kelly clarkson more. If i could i wopuld say they're both cool cuz..they are :) i hope this helps.
p.s i think avril is BETTER although!! ;)

definately AVRIL LAVIGNE!!! kelly is too conceded. And to add to the idiots before me, they apparently know nothing about originality. Avril was avril. she didnt pretend to be anything she wasnt. & everyone has made mistakes, so why keep bringing up the David Bowie thing. plus Kelly clarkson sings the songs that AVRIL WRITES!! So if you like kelly you are just liking the carbon copy of avril!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kelly. Avril is a hypocrit. She talks crap about people who do drugs, but she was kicked out of a local show here a few years ago for doing them. Way to be a role model...
