I'm supposed to be paid 'prevailing wage' at my job, but I'm not. What to do?

If I gripe about the wage, I will be "laid off." But I am earning a third of what the posted prevailing wage is supposed to be. (It is for a contractor, at a University-site job.) Should I wait 3-4 weeks til the job is over, and then try to claim back wages? or just go to the local L & I office, and make them be the bad guy?

Your are paid what you are paid because you take that pay. If you don't like it or see something wrong with it, look for another employment.
