Well, I'm a teenager and I shoot a brief 40% on a 10ft. high Goal (Field goals that i make includes Close up, mid-range, and long distance shots). I want to know a good way to raise my field goal percentage so i can make the basketball team next year. And, please don't give no short dumb answers thank you.

Practice one hand shots - first strong hand close in, once you make three in a row, take a small step back, and make three in a row. Repeat this until you get to about the free throw line. Do this from the right side of the key, the center of the key, and the left side of the key.

Repeat same for the weak hand.

Do this every day.

gosh this stuffs easy. 1) k so 5-3 is 2. so the fraction is 2/5. and the percentage of that is 40% 2. again 20-16 is 4. so u do 4/20, simplified is 1/5 which is 20%. 3. im not sure if this is right but...48-40 is 8. so u do 8/40. 1/5 is the fraction. 20% hope i helped.

Well I'm 15 got a very good jump shot, but I prefer to drive to the hole, because my percentage of making it is higher cause I'm taller, but if you are short have your team to run you screens to get a wide open shot, and also practice shooting.Set your feet to cause I twisted my ankle bad cause i don't set my feet when i shoot so when I came down Damn. But practice shooting

First off, you need to make sure you are shooting with proper form and technique. If your shot fundamentals are flawed, your shooting percentage will be lacking. Obviously I can't see your shot to help you with the technical aspects. I can give you a shooting workout that helps with form shooting, free throw shooting, individual moves and shots, 3 point shooting, etc... Check the link below for a shooting workout you can use right now.

Work on your release kid. Make sure your square and it helps alot when you can get your feet facing the basket. Work on your rythym. Take around 100 to 200 shots a day and find a comfortable release point for you. Trust me I shot around 54% from behind the arc my entire high school career.

Practice, practice, practice.

This isn't a short, dumb answer. It's what you need to do, simplified.

Shoot more 3-pointers, and try rushing yourself to shoot the ball. For example, think in your head there is only 3 seconds left on the shotclock and someone is blocking you and you need to shoot it. Put yourself in pressure situations when you are practicing.

Well if i was u i would try to make a higher % shot like if you were open i a 3point shot but you have room to scoot up go ahead or if u see an opening try to take it towards the whole and always concentrate. So if u put your mind to it u should make.

really focus hard on the shot your putting up and the form that you have when you do it and try really hard to keep the same form when you shoot focus on the way youre holding the ball when you catch it the way you pull up on the shot and the way you release the ball one hand should actually propel the ball out of your hands not both hands

Practice about 45 minutes a day. It helps in the long run and maximizes efficiency in about 3 months.
