E is excellent, S is satisfactory and N is needs improvement. In our grade school they are still used along with numbers 1-4 and also with the specials ie:gym, art, library and music.

i don't know why they have to be all prejudiced against the E

i had some E once.......it made me feel real funny...it was at a concert......

We had "E" in preschool and in elementary I guess it just fell away.
