Well as one late night show put it in regards to Daytime Emmy Awards: Rosie O'Donnell -- 5; The View -- 0. Star knew she or should have felt that she was on her way out back November of last year. Rosie is replacing Meredith and not Star. There is a "Star" search on now for her replacement. Over the past few months the times I've caught the show, I noticed Star was quieter than usual and she just decided she didn't want to play the game any more. It was a business move to hire Rosie -- nothing more, nothing less. Rosie sponsored a "Family" cruise which was filmed by HBO and she'll probably get kudos for that. Bottom line -- The View is going after Rosie's fan base and they are going to get them. A lot of people hated to see Rosie leave TV, I never watched her much because I was never home.

I don't know why Meredith decided to leave, I missed that episode too. I've never figured her for an anchor woman, however, I believe she did some TV anchoring at one time or another.

All I can say is, the View is going to be interesting, however, when I'm home, I'm watching Ellen. Hate I miss it now -- Jim Carey was on there today so I know the show was off da hook.

Holler,

No I don't think that Rosie will be a good addition to the view. Rosie is a comedien and in a whole different ball park than the other ladies on the view. I think they should of gone with someone on the same page as Star Jones and maybe a little more sophisticated than Rosie.

I think she is a hypocrite. She "outed" Star about her surgery. Although she is a public figure, I feel that how she chose to lose weight was her own decision. The press made a little rustle about it, but is was Rosie O'Donnell who appointed herself as judge and jury. On the other hand, Rosie hid her sexual preference for years and came out when she was ready, no one "outed" her. Why did she not immediately come out and say she was gay when she first became a public figure????? The point is, she chose to come out in her own time and she should have afforded Star respect for her privacy and the opportunity to decide if or not she wanted to discuss with the public her obesity surgery. The current position of the view makes me think of a bunch of vultures waiting for something to die so they can all attack. The show is, in my humble opinion, a joke.

I used to like Rosie O'Donnell and I used to enjoy her show. Then she sandbagged Tom Selleck by giving him a bunch of grief about his alleged participation in the American gun culture, all the while her kids are being escorted to school by armed guards. As far as I'm concerned, this makes her a hypocrite. I haven't watched her since and when she comes on the View, I'm going to stop watching that.

I think yes. I'm sorry that star had to leave but she did not like rosie and I guess the owners of the view decided that this would be the best thing to do..
If you like rosie then yes if you don't then you will say no.

Not really. I think she has a habit of forcing her view on people weather they want it or not. Not that Star was any better. I find it funny to think back when she used to go on about her law degree and now she is trying to play the poor me card??? I don't think so... I was kicked off of the view and now I can only make $600,000.00 a year as a top litigator in some Hollywood law office. Boohoo.

Should Rosie O'Donnel join a panel of woman who chatter like blithering nitwits? hmmm.... Um one less blabberin woman on TV would suit me fine! Tell you what, lets cancel The View entirely!

Rosie O'donnell would be a good addition to a sink hole...

Rosie's behavior has gotten more obnoxious and rude since she has left her show. Even though the laides argued - they (even Joy) did not usually reach that level of rudeness. I find it unlikely that the View will rise in the ratings past the first couple of weeks of curiousity.

I think the popularity of The View hinges on the interaction among the hosts, and people tune in for the spats, controversy and clashes among them. Rosie will certainly provoke her share of controversy. I say, go for it, Rosie!
