Why aren't you taking vitamins? Any would be better then none especially if you are so worried about your child. I know alot of people who never took pre natal vitamins and their children are fine. I would suggest to tell your commander asap. Too much stress and physical activity can cause you to lose your baby, especially this early on. You'll probably get a nice desk job until you give birth, thats what they seemed to do in the Army when my husband was enlisted a few months back. Good luck.... dont worry too much.

OK- 1st of all- go to the doc and make sure before you say anything. Then get your butt on vitamins- they really do make a difference! I wasn't taking them at 1st cause they made me sick- but then when I started taking them- i didn't gain a whole lot of weight, barely any stretch marks- and I felt great during my whole pregnancy. I know it probably wasn't all the vitamins- but that's where I'm giving the credit!! If you are- you really need to tell your commander- the later you tell them- the worse it will be. If you give them notice- they could probably find you a desk job or something later in your pregnancy. Also- don't let all these people tell you that you cant do anything being pregnant- you can still do a lot of what you did before- just don't lift a lot, drink lots of water- and take a few extra breaks. I worked up till a week before I went into labor as a CNA(certified nurses aide).

y are u not taking anything for the baby? do you want there to be something wrong?? I would get over the counter prenatal if you have to and tell them right away in the Navy.. there are so many things they can do for u. Have u been to the Dr yet? how do you know how far along you are and where is the dad what does he say??.. I know there are alot of questions here but you need to do some soul searching for you and ur unborn baby(they deserve the best start you can give then) and since you are in the Navy you are not stupid THINK THINK about what you are and are not doing for the health of that baby... go to wal-mart and buy some prenatal vitamins. My husband was a Seabee in the navy, there were lots of pregnant chicks on base, make an appt, express to your doctor your concerns, eventually you will have an ultrasound, and most likely they will be able to tell you if there is anything wrong. But you're probably just worrying =)

You need to go to the doctor and get some prenatal care. Your in the navy so obviously you have medical insurance. Tell your command so you can stop doing work that may be harmful to your baby. They let women in the military so they have to deal with pregnancy too. Don't let them scare you into risking your child's health.

Tell them before and you should be taking prenatal vitamins tokeep the embryo healthy. You should be working around that it can put the baby at risk, or God Forbid you might have a miscarriage if you are not being careful!

Squid--
You are required to report your status to your command under the UCMJ. You are also obligated under the oath you took when you joined. You are putting your baby, yourself, and your shipmates at risk. You will get shore duty untill the baby is 9 months. Go talk to the Chaplain or your LPO Corpman. You are an american sailor, square yourself away. Good luck with the baby.

Tell your commanders, especially if you intend to keep the baby. Congrats girl!
Since you are pregnant they might temporarily reassign you to a desk job until you are ready to get back to construction after the baby is born.

The most important thing is to tell your commander and toi get a check up on you and the baby. If not you and the child may be at risk

You might as well tell them. If you want to stay in the Navy. Go to sick call and let them know . You might be able to get a profile for light duty or a desk job.
