Get into sales if you can - medical or pharma with your background. Money is good, you'll travel, meet lots of people, and you'll thank yourself later for gaining the experience because when you have a year or two of business to business sales under your belt, you can always get another sales job.

Prostitution. But it is difficult to just do it for one year. Second choice is pole dancing. Again, difficult to 'get a girl off the pole' as they say in the biz. Third choice would be collecting aluminum cans , it sells for .70 a pound and endless opportunity since America is essentially one big freakin stretch of pavement.

Start a lounging around company. Charge people to lounge on your sofa. I bet it would make a ton of money and you don't need to go anywhere to do it.

In 1 year, you close down the company and tell everyone to go home so you can go find a job.

Depends on what you think is "decent pay". Why don't you go back to your university and see if you can do some grant work or research or something you like?

Prostitution. Without a doubt. Good pay, fun, interesting people. After a year, leave your pimp and move on.
