I have a hamster that is almost 3 years old. He is getting black spots on his neck (A little bit) and on his sides (on each side in the same spot and they look like black moles). What could they be from?

Also I am worried about him!

Wow! Nearly 3, that's good you must be doing something right because life expectancy for a hamster is usually 2yrs. old. If your hamster starts dragging his back legs and only using his front legs to walk, that's a problem. This is the time that he will be leaving you soon.

I think it's best to take him to the vet. They are dear little creatures - but can be quite weak. Sorry to tell you but their life expectancy isn't very long, only a few years at most. Give him lots of love and attention while you have him.
