Is it contempt or lack of farsightedness on part of this adminstration?

The tax payers don't need a government funded TV station. They should be made to stand on their merits with their programing. Hell CBS, ABC and NBC still manage and look how bad their programing is.

PBS, besides having a liberal bias, really has no justification to exist as a tax payer funded service. The federal government should stick to things that are primarily mandated by the Constitution, in my humble opinion. We spend way too much on non-mandated things.

Not so much contempt as arrogance and a**kissing. Like the Christian Coalition and the other fruit loops supporting Bush agendas. Don't you know Jerry Falwell says the telly tubbies are gay and PBS immoral!

but PBS had gotten caught with their hand into the cookie jar. They are playing politics with the boardcasting to the kids and the major of supporters to PBS raised heck and cutoff the funds

Or maybe somebody realized that they make plenty of money from all the merchandise they sell and I'm not just talking about the fundraisers. Further we could easily do without it; we've got CNN.

There are to many liberal programs . The Conservatives don't want you to see them , might change your mind or something .

why the F!UCK!!! should our tax dollars pay for a ******* tv channel? We have nearly 500 channels, half of them with some kind of news, and most of them liberal mouthpieces.
