Well, not exactly. There are so many better places in the Caribbean that Bahamas is not exactly the best place to be. If you have not been in other island in the Caribbean, then you will think that it is great. However, be ready to bring lots of money and put your "fancy" face if you want to fit in. Try to visit the Atlantis if you want to live for 5 minutes a fancy live that only few people can really live. I have been in several spots in the Caribbean and I was really dissapointed for what Bahamas offered me. Beaches are not easy to access. It would be better if you rent "Oprah's" house so you have a nice wide beach front. I don't want to dissapoint you but you should check into Aruba, Trinidad & Tobago, Anguilla or British Virgin Islands if you want real fun, great food and true relax. Nassau is not exactly the most friendly city in the Carribean. As the matter of fact, people treated me very poorly and are not taking care of turists. Good luck and hope this helps.

the most northern islands are actually temprate but they are only two Grand Bahama and Abaco the others are all in the tropics...
