By maturing. Really, you may be insulted but hey you asked.

Now the mature person would not have argued with their co-workers to begin with.

You should of had the disagreement forwarded to your supervisor.

Then the mature person will also gracefully admit that they were wrong, and apologize.

It's that simple

Do you know one thing in life?
Losing is winning.
All your co-workers will be happy now - that they have won. Do not re-visit the area of your argument subject. Even if someone provokes u into the subject - act as though u do not remember the incidence. If you continue to feel sad about your losing - that will fortify their winning and will bring to their mind - the incidence every time they c u. If you put up a brave face and show that you have taken that in your stride - and going for something different - they will also forget the episode.

What if you had won and they all lost? Would you then still enjoy your job and co-workers? The best way to get over a riff is to apologize for it happening, regardless of who was at fault. Otherwise the end result is the same, whether you win or lose.

If it was purely job related and the disagreement was professional, then don't worry about it. If you said things that were personal attacks, then you should swallow your pride, and apologize before it gets worse. Everyone makes mistakes. One thing you should NOT do is sulk and feel sorry for yourself. Let it be a life lesson that sometimes you won't get your way. In the end, was it REALLY that important? Brush it off. That's the most professional thing you can do.

Boy, if you figure this one out, lemme know too! It must be in the air! To get over it, I usually call someone, my mother or a friend and have one heckuva good RANT session, then I am usually all out of steam. Praying helps too! And of course, go workout, run, or whatever. Take a good hot bath. Just let it go. Do you best to be polite/nice when you do face them next.

Bottom line-you have two choices.
1. You can ALLOW yourself to be miserable.
2. You can prove to yourself that you will NOT allow anyone to make YOU miserable and just forget about it.
