I am bringing my guinea pigs to the vet, but in the meantime I am quite skeeved out by the idea that there all little bugs on them. I want to make sure neither my cat or I could get them?

There are about 4 different little critters piggies can get. Mine get a type of them out of the bedding. The pet stores carry a spray called 8 in 1 for small animals. I'm not sure if it will kill all of the different kinds of pests. The web I use is the greatest I've seen yet. I don't know if they will transfer to other animals. So far my cats haven't come up with anything but a flea once in a while. Piggies can get fleas for other pets though. Check out the web below.

Mites are generally species specific, meaning they cannot live on a host of a different species. So no, they cannot live on you.

Do not use a spray or a powder on your pigs, as they can cause respiratory problems. Ivermectin is a very cheap, very easy and very safe (when dosed correctly) method of treating mites. Mites are very very common!

It will most certainly not come to you because when mites are little they are chiggers and thats the time they get you.
Now your cat on the other hand can get them.

It is most likely that eventually your other pets will get them too. My advise is to take care of all of them right away otherwise they will give them to each other again and again unless they are all treated at the same time.
