Nightmare on Elm Street- I was so fascinated by it as a kid, it scared me but yet I couldn't stop watching....It helped me overcome my fear of scary movies.

If that is all you have to watch, Edward Scissorhands. The color purple is long and tedious to focus on. Coal minors daughter is incomplete. Saw and saw 2 are just not scary. Nightmare on Elm Street is like a potato chip you can't just have one. Blade1, 2, and 3 are fun to watch but once again they seem incomplete on their own and you probably want to watch all three. The Green Mile is kind of a downer. And Texas Chainsaw Massacre (The remake) is not as scary as the original. So That leaves Edward Scissorhands, a dark comedy/fantasy with good writing, a good, cast, and a good soundtrack. Buy more videos.

#7 Blade--although the storyline from the comics was changed to suit the viewing audience, it was still a great story. Cinematography was great, fight choreography made me all hyper with kudos and the enacted script made me want to just watch it over and over again.

The Color Purple is a close runner up. I didn't care for Coal Miner's Daughter and Blade 2 or 3. I absolutely hated the remake of Chainsaw Massacre...since when is it cool to add an elaborated script to that flick?

The Green Mile - great story, very well casted. I just can't imagine anyone else in so many of those roles, especially Tom Hanks, Michael Clarke Duncan, David Morse, James Cromwell, Patricia Clarkson, "Wild Bill", "Perry Wetmore", the others.

I've always seen Stephen King as more of a horror writer, it really amazed me that he could write a story like this, portraying the good and evil natures of people in such a deep way.

Of this list, I'd have to say "The Green Mile." I think Tom Hanks did another good job on this movie. Plus, I thought Michael Clark Duncan did surprisingly well in his role, too.

7 - Original Blade: I like action movies. The first scene is the greatest.
