alot people dont but people do prejudge others. dont let that make or break u . your personal style is what makes u different from others

Because this world is very materialistic and we notice materials. Plus, clothes can really make a person look very nice while clothes like sweats can really a person look non-attractive. Then there are certain groups of people that have a bad rep. and can give a certain type of clothes a bad name. For example, if you wear Dickie's and a flannel you are perceived as a gang banger. Society plans a huge part on perception on the way we wear our clothes.

The saying "Never judge a book by it's cover" Is a very, very old saying. People have been judging each other based upon outward appearance for thousands of years and I don't think it is going to change anytime soon.

probably because their worst fear is that people are judging THEM by what they are wearing. Also people sometimes wear clothes that do not fit correctly or don't accentuate the positive parts of their body. Or the colors aren't good for your skin tone. I can't wear yellow because it washes out my skin tone.
People usually judge because they are insecure about themselves.

It's what they can see. We judge everything by what we can see, it's not limited to clothing. We need something to reference when we catalog things in our minds. With something as simple as fruit, for instance: ripe color, smooth skin=good to eat. Discolored skin, pitted skin=probably not so good to eat. Likewise with clothing: nice clothes, neat appearance=takes pride in appearance, confident etc. Grungy clothes, disheveled appearance=doesn't give a **** probably about anything or else is very insecure.

Cuz they're ignorant, i actually bought these bermuda shorts which were black and had a silver belt and i thought they were sooo cute and my brother made a comment saying what r u now a freak dressing like those punks at school. People are just stupid

First impressions are a motha, most people are too concerned with all the materialistic crap. I guess its easier for them to look and judge, than to approach and talk.

because they have nothing better to do..and ppl are like that they think they are better than every1 and its not part of nature to be pre-judged its wrong...we are all different and its not our fault that our parents cnt buy us all the clothes we want!
