what the other person likes, what you like, weather, government, religion, abortion, racism, etc. issues that will keep you guys talking for hours at a time. then when that's done....just bask in the silence. sometimes silence is a good thing. :)
sometimes i start asking "dumb" quesitons like "what's your favorite food" etc too. or "coke or pepsi"....that stuff is fun! :)

Just talk to people about stuff you talk about on the phone or in an email. IM is pretty much just talking on the phone without the phone.

Music, kids, work, medicine, world events, love life, etc. If you run out of things to talk about do what you would do if you were on the phone, hang up.

You could talk about what music you like. Your favorite food. What your summer vacation plans are. You might get on a topic to where you both like it...then it will go on from there!!<3

The classic cure for writer's block is to write about the fact that you don't know what to write about. Just keep on going and see what comes out. Another source of writing is to go out and experience the world and write about it.

after a while, i run out of things to talk about too. just dont do it so much. wait a couple of days, then you should have new things to talk about.

Most people don't know about the audibles or the games you can play.
I still don't know how to play the same game with someone though.
