I feel the same way you can act black or white. Just because I don't talk slang or sound ghetto( like blacks are perceived to talk), people say I sound like a white girl. But you can't sound white, you can talk almost close to proper or the way people are supposed to talk, but you can't talk white or black.

When I see a white guy wearing things that alot of black guys wear ( phat farm, Fubu) or talking like they are from the hood ( which is associated with us black people) I just say they are ghetto. Because all black people don't act and are not from the ghetto. White people are from the ghetto too. I call black people that talk supper- supper proper or are stuck up and up tight( like Carlton Banks), Preps. A preppy type people act as if they are better than everyone and that's how some black people act against their own race.

Whigger or an Oreo is just terms that society uses to put a label to a person not acting as they perceive a race to act.

Sorry if I offended anyone I was just speaking my mind, not trying to hurt any ones feelings.

I definitely believe in whiggers (that they exist, not that they should act that way). The definition is a Caucasian person that mimics ghetto and urban vernacular. I have seen plenty of definition 2 on the site below, although there are differences of opinion on whether the term is derogatory or not. I also wonder why white (usually) boys only pick ghetto-speak to mimic? I want to hear some walking around talking like Al Sharpton, Mohammed Ali, and Laurence Fishburn.

I have seen white people dress african american, only date african american girls, they adopt..not just adapt to the culture..so i sort of disagree...it is not being ashamed of your culture per se...it is just that they have found appreciation in a culture that is not their own...what because they picked up a beastie boys CD or an Eminem CD..they are all of a sudden whiggers? We must WANT to understand other cultures but we must be ourselves through it all..My wife is a dark latina woman..most people in the US would assume she is black until she speaks Portuguese..then they know that she can't be African American...but they quickly forget or DIDN'T know..that 2/3 of the slaves (back 300 yrs) didn't even come to America..they went to South, Central America as well.. as some areas like Haiti and Jamaica. It is why there are so many Afro-Brazilians as well..

that said a lot of kids have african american friends and they want desperately to "fit in" but I think that those who try too hard to assimilate into the culture of another without being themselves..will always look a bit silly..that said..whigger is offensive..as much as the N word...it has lost its meaning in the younger generation...but no matter what race you are..if you are in Gen X or Baby Boomers...the N word is still very wrong to say..Rappers have DESTROYED that word by making it common...most of their CDs are bought by white kids now...so I ask you this...if Ice Cube knows that white kids will be singing those words..why is he provoking the use of the N word? He is part of the root of the problem..I like his music and think he is very creative..but i refuse to sing his lyrics..because they promote white people to sing things they have no business singing..

da jawbreaka you are reported and I am calling you ignorant to your face!

People that try to act like other people have no pride in themselves. It is one thing to admire black people (which I do, Martin Luther King is one of the persons I most admire), and another to act like one. Therefore, a whigger is not being himself. He's just a poser, an artificial person.

That word was delevoped by bored white boys. Its just as bad as being called a ni**er or a cracker. Everyone says the want to be equal but they seem to only want to be number one. A new name pops up everyday for someone to use against someone else to bring them down.
I think there are veriations of every race. Good bad and in between if we stop labelling them maybe people would stop killing other people.
We will never live in a totally free world. Stereotypes are everywhere. They wont stop. It has to be overlooked and we have to be the bigger person. That sucks but there is nothing to do about it

Have you ever seen a white guy, baggy cloths, riding in a car, slumped down, and listening to hip-hop musik.
Geeze, it is a word to describe what a black person use to call a uncle tom, a black person acting white, now we got white people acting black, things like this have been around forever, just can't change human nature, the actors, or the haters.

Finally! Another person that thinks like me! i hate it when people say that because like you say there is no way to act black or white. Speaking with proper grammar is not trying to be white that is just the proper way to speak and some people are less educated or are in a certain environment and dont know any better.

It's a label for white kids who emulate phrases, mannerisms, and fashion commonly and stereotypically associated with Black or hip-hop cultures. the keyword here being stereotypically associated with being black not acting black. They dress like rappers dress in videos and talk in slang. It's just a another label that society uses to segregate people.
