I am proud of all National Folklore from different countries. I am especially proud of those customs and folklore from the countries I have lived in and visited. I Love that Vancouver, Washington, U.S.A. has the biggest, best known 4th of July fireworks display, west of the Mississippi. Literally. I love Guy Fawkes Day, in England. From the Children who come knocking on the door to ask, " Penny for the Guy?" To the great bonfires at night, burning the effigies of poor Guy Fawkes, who was burned at the stake, for setting fire to Parliment. And so on and so forth...

Well, I'm from the US, and unfortunately we've taken all the lore out of the country by burning it at the stake.......(so to speak) If it isn't Christian approved, it's not allowed. Well, anything interesting that is. You know, I keep hesitating to hit the submit button on this, I keep thinking I'm being facetious, but I truly can't think of a damn thing.

Here in England, I'm happy to celebrate The May Queen and The Green Man, and many many others...

I'm Native American so there's way too many to mention. Our love of all living things comes to mind. Our respect for our elders is paramount in a society where old people are thrown away instead of respected for their wisdom and experience.

I am proud of my province of Quebec. We have managed to keep our French language and culture despite being surrounded by a sea of English. I also like our poutine and tourtiére.
