1. From the Tools menu, choose "Accounts."
2. Select the "Mail" tab.
3. Click the "Add" button.
4. From the Add menu, click "Mail."
5. In the text box labeled Display Name, type your name and click "Next."
6. In the Email Address box, type your Yahoo! Mail address (be sure to include "@yahoo.com") and click "Next."
7. Under "My incoming mail server is a..." select "POP3."
8. Type "pop.mail.yahoo.com" in the Incoming Mail (POP3, IMAP, or HTTP) Server box.
9. Type "smtp.mail.yahoo.com" in the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server box.
10. Click "Next."
11. In the Account Name box, type your Yahoo! Mail ID (your email address without the "@yahoo.com").
12. In the Password box, type your Yahoo! Mail password.
13. If you want Outlook Express to remember your password, check the "Remember password" box.
14. Do not check the boxes labeled "Log on using Secure..."
15. Click "Next."
16. Click "Finish."

If you are a premium Yahoo! user (or an AT&T Yahoo! user), then you can use the POP3 feature. You'll have to go into "Mail Options" through the web mail version to activate this feature. After setting it up there, it will also provide you with the POP3/SMTP addresses you need. Since I am an AT&T Yahoo! user, my pop3 address is: pop.pacbell.yahoo.com, but this might be different for you...Check through webmail's "Mail Options" first.

You must have Yahoo! Mail Plus or AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet(Both you have to pay for) for POP3 to be enabled.
It doesn't work on the basic free Yahoo! mail.

if u have a free yahoo acount there is no pop3
and u can not chek your mail in outlook
but u can search in google.com for Yahoopops which with this software with some setting in outlook u can get the mails
u can find the yahoo pop manual where u download it

You need to subscribe to their "mailplus" service to access via pop, otherwise you access via html...

If you are technically savvy, you can install a pop server proxy on your machine to get around this limitation... There are many to choose from... Some are listed below:
